Method Resourcing have partnered with a leading analytics company within the entertainment industry who are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer.

We are seeking a motivated Lead Platform Engineer with a strong Azure background to drive our cloud-native initiatives and ensure the scalability and resilience of our solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), networking, security best practices, back-ups, key vaults, and monitoring using ARM templates.
  • Configure and lead the use of Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools for release pipelines and environment management.
  • Proactively manage capacity and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
  • Implement security controls such as IAM, encryption, and compliance standards to ensure data security and integrity.
  • Provision and manage IaaS and PaaS resources including storage accounts, networks, Azure SQL, VMs, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise cloud resources and enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, infrastructure monitoring, and environment management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, security best practices, and cloud networking.
  • Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server management in both IaaS and PaaS implementations.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a proactive and go-getter attitude.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes
