MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

The Method Mentorship Programme is a free service we are proud to be able to offer to the UK technology market. If you work in Product Management, Product Design, Software Engineering, Data, or Transformation and Change, you are invited to join the programme as either a Mentee or Mentor (or both!)

HOW DOES

IT WORK?

By filling out the application form you'll have the opportunity to tell us what sort of person you'd like to be matched up with. Our industry specialists will then match you up with someone who fits the description, and introduce you over email. You will then arrange to have your first meet (either in person or via video call). You will meet for 1 hour, once a month, for 3 months. And it's as simple as that! All you need to do is fill out the application form, or contact Emma Storey if you'd like more information.

WHAT IS

MENTORING?

Mentoring is a supportive form of development. It can help an individual manage their career and gain focus on their aspirations. It is often career/role focused to achieve long term progress and success. It can improve your motivation and help you to feel empowered to make changes.

WHAT CAN IT

DO FOR ME?

Having a mentoring relationship can give you the opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills, alongside gaining new perspectives and transferring knowledge within your industry. Mentoring can also encourage you to become more evaluative and self-reflective around current situations and your own practice, both for the mentor and mentee alike.

WHAT DOES

IT LOOK LIKE?

Mentoring involves meeting with your mentor/mentee once a month over a period of time, which you can decide. The mentee will organise the meetings and prepare the agenda, ensuring that they are clear about what they hope to learn. The mentor will listen to understand their mentee's goals and aims, giving advice, guidance and a fresh perspective.

OUR MENTEE FEEDBACK

The MMP met my expectations as I felt I was matched well with my mentor. My mentor gave me some great advice from similar situations they had been in and I was able to take this back to my day to day role, implementing this to improve ways of working. 1510

Emma has been networking and recruiting in the Product Management and Product Design space for the past 6 years, across many different industries across the UK. She works with companies of all shapes and sizes to support with hiring strategies, and introduce hiring managers to talented candidates. As well as building Product teams, Emma has a passion supporting Product Managers with their career progression, and connecting people within her well established product network.
