Are you an experienced Product Owner with a background in insurance technology? Here's an opportunity to establish and shape a brand new technical function within a leading global insurer.
About the Role: We're seeking a seasoned Technical Product Owner to join our Core Value Streams team. This is a newly created position focused on managing our technical underwriting systems, data warehousing, and analytics platforms. You'll work with engineering teams to build and optimize our technical infrastructure while leveraging your insurance industry knowledge.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the technical vision and roadmap for underwriting systems and data platforms
- Manage development teams including software engineers, data engineers, and analysts
- Oversee catastrophe modeling systems and data warehouse implementations
- Drive modernization of legacy systems while maintaining operational excellence
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and establish new ways of working
- Lead technical decision-making and architecture discussions
What You'll Need:
- Multiple years' experience as a Product Owner, specifically in technical roles
- Strong background in managing technical applications and systems
- Experience with data warehousing, analytics, and catastrophe modeling
- Understanding of insurance/underwriting concepts (particularly reinsurance)
- Track record of establishing new functions and ways of working
- Experience leading engineering teams and technical stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences
